Hello, I am Pypah!
But you can call me Pypah, that's how I mostly present myself on socials.
I’ve been into art for as long as I can remember! Started classes at 11 and just never stopped experimenting. I studied animation in the UK, but even back then I was posting my art online and trying out all kinds of styles and mediums.Â
Now I’m based in Manchester, working from my home studio, running my online shop, making content, and heading to art conventions whenever I can. I love jumping between different mediums, playing with bright, fun colors, and creating fantasy-inspired art.Â
In 2024, I published my first book, “Draw Amazing Faces: Learn the Basics and Develop Your Own Style,” which guides you step by step to confidently create expressive, lifelike portraits while helping you develop your own unique artistic style and bring personality and emotion into every face you draw.

I’d definitely recommend following the modules in order, though, because we’ll be building our skills layer by layer, starting with the super basics and moving up to the more detailed, polished stuff.

Welcome & The Toolkit
We’ll start with a cozy hello and get you settled in! I’ll show you the simple materials you’ll need (just a pencil and paper is plenty) and lead you through my favorite warm-up exercises. These are perfect for loosening up your hand and getting into a creative flow without any pressure.
Module 3 & 4
Mastering the Pencil & Simple Shapes
It’s time to see what your pencil can really do! We’ll play with pressure and line weights before diving into my biggest secret: seeing simple shapes inside complex references. We’ll bring it all together with your very first step-by-step pencil sketch demo.
Module 5 & 6
Shading Secrets & 3D Form
This is where we turn "flat" into "3D." I’ll break down values and contrast, teaching you 4 core shading techniques to create depth. You’ll learn how light direction changes shadows, helping your drawings look like they have real weight and volume.
Module 7 & 8
Still Life & Tricky Textures
Let’s get practical! We’ll build complex drawings from references, layering our shadows for a polished look. We’ll even tackle the "scary" stuff—like shiny glass and reflective surfaces—breaking them down into easy, manageable steps.
Module 9 & 10
Adding Color & Final Masterpieces
We’re leveling up by bringing color into the mix! We’ll explore layering and blending to create mood and depth. To wrap things up, we’ll complete two big final projects—a still life and a character portrait—leaving you with all the confidence to keep creating on your own!
